Custom-Fabricated Stainless-Steel Components

Stainless-steel pipework and exhaust sections manufactured and supplied by Pi Motorsport are covered by the Owner’s Lifetime Guarantee.

Flexi Pipes & Flexible Couplings

Covered for 24 months from the original installation date against manufacturing or installation defects.

Exhaust Valves & Electronic Components

Covered for 12 months from the original installation date, unless a longer manufacturer's warranty applies.

This includes electronic valve motors, controllers, remote-control units and associated electronic components.

Catalytic Converters

Catalytic converters supplied and installed by Pi Motorsport are covered for 24 months from installation against manufacturing defects.

Failure caused by engine faults, fuelling issues, misfires, oil or fuel contamination, excessive temperatures or other vehicle-related faults is not covered.

Rubber Mountings & Hangers

Covered for 12 months from installation against manufacturing or installation defects.

Branded & Third-Party Exhaust Systems

Exhaust systems or components manufactured by another company are subject to the applicable manufacturer's warranty where available.

The Pi Motorsport Owner’s Lifetime Guarantee does not automatically extend to third-party components simply because they have been installed by Pi Motorsport.

Customer-Supplied Parts

Pi Motorsport cannot provide a parts guarantee for components supplied by the customer.

Our responsibility for the workmanship involved in fitting those components and the customer's statutory rights remain unaffected.

The Pi Motorsport guarantee does not cover:

• Surface discolouration, staining or cosmetic changes to stainless steel.
• Cosmetic corrosion that does not cause perforation or exhaust leakage.
• Normal wear and tear.
• Accidental or physical damage.
• Damage caused by contact with roads, kerbs, speed humps, debris or other objects.
• Damage resulting from insufficient vehicle ground clearance.
• Damage caused by worn or defective engine or gearbox mounts.
• Damage caused by excessive engine or drivetrain movement or vibration.
• Damage caused by engine faults, misfires, excessive fuelling, oil burning or contamination.
• Damage resulting from overheating or other mechanical faults elsewhere on the vehicle.
• Damage caused by misuse, neglect or improper maintenance of the vehicle.
• Damage resulting from motorsport, competition, track or other non-standard vehicle use.
• Alterations, repairs or modifications to the exhaust system carried out by a third party after installation.
• Components or sections of the exhaust system not supplied or fabricated by Pi Motorsport.
• Customer-supplied components themselves.
• Cosmetic changes resulting from heat cycles or normal use.

The guarantee covers defects in the product or workmanship for which Pi Motorsport is responsible. It does not cover failures caused by unrelated faults elsewhere on the vehicle.

If you believe there is a fault with work carried out by Pi Motorsport, please contact us before arranging repairs elsewhere.

Guarantee inspections are carried out by appointment.

The vehicle must normally be returned to Pi Motorsport to allow us a reasonable opportunity to inspect the vehicle and determine the cause of the issue.

We may request:

• The original invoice or proof of purchase.
• Vehicle registration details.
• Confirmation that the claimant remains the registered keeper.
• Relevant vehicle maintenance information where the nature of the fault makes this necessary.
• A valid MOT certificate where appropriate.

Where the issue is covered by the guarantee, Pi Motorsport will repair or replace the affected component as appropriate.

Work carried out by another garage or third party without first giving Pi Motorsport a reasonable opportunity to inspect and rectify the issue may affect a guarantee claim, except where this would be unreasonable in the circumstances or where the customer's statutory rights provide otherwise.

The Owner’s Lifetime Guarantee applies to the original customer while they remain the registered keeper of the vehicle.

If the vehicle is sold, the new registered keeper may apply to transfer the guarantee.

Transfer is subject to:

• Inspection of the exhaust system by Pi Motorsport.
• The system remaining in an acceptable condition.
• No unauthorised modifications having been carried out.
• Payment of any applicable inspection or guarantee transfer fee advised at the time.

Pi Motorsport reserves the right to decline a guarantee transfer where the exhaust system has been damaged, altered or is otherwise unsuitable for continued guarantee cover.

Pi Motorsport offers bespoke exhaust fabrication and modification services.

Customers may request particular configurations, sound characteristics, tailpipe designs and other custom specifications.

We will manufacture or modify the system in accordance with the agreed specification where reasonably practicable.

Because exhaust sound is subjective, descriptions such as quiet, mid-sport, sport, loud or similar terminology are intended as general guidance rather than a guarantee of an exact sound level or tone.

The final sound of an exhaust can vary depending on the engine, turbocharger, catalytic converters, particulate filters, existing modifications and other characteristics of the vehicle.

Where the completed system materially differs from the agreed specification because of Pi Motorsport's workmanship, this does not affect the customer's statutory rights.

Customers must inform Pi Motorsport of any known faults or modifications that could reasonably affect the work being carried out.

Pi Motorsport is not responsible for pre-existing vehicle defects or failures unrelated to the work undertaken.

Where we identify a condition that could affect the exhaust system or prevent the requested work from being completed safely, we may recommend additional work or decline to continue until the issue has been rectified.

A deposit may be required to secure a workshop booking.

The amount required may vary depending on the nature and value of the work, workshop time being reserved, materials required and whether components need to be ordered or manufactured specifically for the customer's vehicle.

Any deposit paid will normally be deducted from the customer's final invoice.

If a customer cancels an appointment or fails to attend, Pi Motorsport may retain all or part of the deposit where reasonably necessary to cover losses directly resulting from the cancellation, including workshop time reserved, materials ordered or reasonable costs already incurred.

Where sufficient notice is provided, Pi Motorsport may allow a deposit to be transferred to another appointment.

Where bespoke, specially ordered or custom-manufactured components have already been purchased or produced for a customer's job, additional reasonable costs may be payable if the customer subsequently cancels.

If Pi Motorsport cancels a booking and cannot reasonably provide the agreed work or arrange an acceptable alternative appointment, any deposit relating to work not provided will be refunded as appropriate.

Nothing in this section affects the customer's statutory rights.

Unless otherwise agreed, exhaust components removed from a customer's vehicle may be disposed of or recycled by Pi Motorsport following completion of the work.

If you wish to retain your original exhaust or any components removed from the vehicle, you must inform us before or during your appointment and collect them when the vehicle is collected.

Pi Motorsport cannot guarantee that removed components will remain available after the vehicle has been collected.

Where a customer has specifically asked us to retain an item and we have agreed to do so, separate arrangements may be made.

Customers should remove valuable personal belongings from their vehicle before leaving it with Pi Motorsport.

Pi Motorsport will take reasonable care of vehicles and property while they are in our possession.

We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not caused by a failure by Pi Motorsport to exercise reasonable care.

Alteration, modification or repair of a Pi Motorsport exhaust system by another person or business may invalidate the guarantee in relation to the affected parts of the system where that work has caused or contributed to the fault.

This does not affect unrelated parts of the system where the third-party work has had no bearing on the fault being claimed.

Exhaust sound and tone can change slightly as components heat-cycle and settle during use.

Where a customer selects a particular sound preference, Pi Motorsport will use its experience to produce a system reasonably consistent with the agreed specification.

However, an exact sound, tone or volume cannot be guaranteed because the result is influenced by the individual vehicle and its configuration.

A change of preference after completion — for example, subsequently deciding that an exhaust should be quieter or louder — is not itself a defect or guarantee claim.

Pi Motorsport may be able to alter the system further at the customer's request, subject to additional charges.

Pi Motorsport is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing within these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability arising from a failure to exercise the reasonable care and skill required by law.

The Pi Motorsport Exhaust Guarantee is an additional commercial guarantee.

It does not replace, restrict or affect any statutory rights that a customer may have under UK consumer law.

Where Pi Motorsport supplies services to a consumer, those services will be carried out with the reasonable care and skill required by law.

The duration of cover depends on the component concerned and is specified within these terms.
